The 2013 Dinneree will feature the four Republican candidates for Governor (clockwise from top left): State Sen. Bill Brady (R-Bloomington), State Sen. Kirk Dillard (R-Hinsdale), Winnetka resident and businessman Bruce Rauner, and State Treasurer Dan Rutherford.
Join us for the premier Republican event on the North Shore: the NTRO Dinneree, Oct. 20, 2013 at Allgauer’s in Northbrook.
The 2013 New Trier Republican Organization Fall Dinner will spotlight the four Republican candidates for Governor in 2014. The primary season will have begun, and we are proud that all four candidates will outline their vision for Illinois at the Dinneree.
State Sen. Bill Brady of Bloomington was the 2010 Republican nominee and he beat Gov. Pat Quinn in all but two Illinois counties in 2010. He knows how critical Cook County will be in the 2014 race. State Sen. Kirk Dillard of Hinsdale, Gov. Jim Edgar’s former Chief of Staff, finished second to Brady by only a handful of votes in the crowded 2010 primary.
State Treasurer Dan Rutherford was elected in 2010 in a year in which our very own Mark Kirk punched his ticket to the U.S. Senate. Downballot from Kirk and Brady, Rutherford tallied more votes than Gov. Quinn, a sign of his ability to garner votes across traditional party lines.
Winnetka resident and venture capitalist Bruce Rauner has decided to enter politics after seeing mismanagement by the Democrats in Springfield bankrupt the state and threaten the institutions we hold dear.
Dan Proft, the WLS-AM morning drive host, will emcee the event. Dan is a friend of NTRO and he can empathize with our four featured guests as he ran for Governor in the crowded 2010 primary.
The Dinneree is at Allgauer’s on the Riverfront in Northbrook. The reception with candidates and othe guests starts at 5:30, with the dinner to begin at 6:15.
